1. Misting with Water
Start with weekly maintenance, then less frequently as your terrarium is established. Sealed terrariums have their own microclimate and require less water. Use sprayers or small watering cans for misting.
2. Temperature and Humidity Regulation
Terrarium plants like warm, humid conditions (on the inside). Keep it sealed and temperature moderate. For best results, monitor temperature and humidity levels regularly with a thermometer / hygrometer combination device.
3. Placement in Bright Indirect Light
Provide plenty of light but avoid direct sun – window sills and areas where the sun hits directly will make it too hot. For best results, search out bright indirect light such as near a north-facing window if possible.
4. Pruning Plants If Necessary
If you give them the right conditions, your plants will undoubtedly grow! To keep them contained, trim stems lightly whenever needed with tiny scissors or tweezers for precision pruning jobs.
5. Wiping Down The Glass Occasionally
The walls of your terrarium will get dirty from time to time – wipe down the glass with a lint free cloth to keep it looking pristine while maintaining an unhindered view of your miniature ecosystem!
